For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

L'ma'an Tzion lo echesheh. U'l'ma'an Yerushalayim lo eshkot. Ad yetzi ka no ga tzidkah. Lo echesheh.

למען ציון לא אחשׁה ולמען ירושׁלם לא אשׁקוט עד יצא כנגה צדקה וישׁועתה כלפיד יבער

Safe And Sound!! ... by Hannah

We are currently in Alfei Menashe (which means "thousands of Manasseh"). Here is a little picture tour of the past couple days!

(For those of you who are receiving this through email ... you may have to click on the link to the post to view the pictures)

On Sabbath morning May 7th, we left Tennessee for Delaware.

We each had one suitcase and one backpack

In case you can't guess whose is whose ... the orange one is Tommy's! His spray paint job didn't turn out exactly like he was expecting, but he's happy with it :)

Samuel came too, as well as Mia - the puppy we were delivering to RI.

Abba rented a car to go ... complete with sunroof and satellite radio :)

Sam and Mia ... she did an excellent job in the car!

The LaGoy sisters were on their way back to Maine on Sunday, and came to see us off at Newark. It was great to see them one last time!

We do not have any pictures between Newark and Brussels. Everything went well with security ... thank you all for your prayers. After hearing accounts of bad experiences with the new security procedures, we were not sure what to expect. However, things went very smoothly, and I can honestly say that the TSA official was polite, considerate, and even friendly :)

One of the officials asked Tommy if he was Israelite. Tommy's response was; "Yes, through accepting Yeshua as the Messiah." A few minutes later, the man came back and asked when Tommy had accepted Yeshua, and Tommy told him that it was in 2004. The man asked if it had changed his life, and Tommy said; "Yes! And all for the better! I highly recommend it!"

Tommy also had the opportunity to talk with a Orthodox young man on the flight, who asked him what was the best thing he had ever done in his life. When Tommy said that it was accepting Yeshua as the Messiah, the young man began to ask questions ... but just then everyone had to put on their seat-belts for landing, and they were not able to finish the conversation.

We had a good flight. I slept some, but Tommy did not sleep at all. Once we got to Brussels, we went through Border Control, and then took a train to the central station in the city.

This was one of the first shops we saw :)

Interesting architecture.

One of the many cathedrals.

Lots of old buildings.

A panoramic view of what they call the Grote Market (I think).

When Abba flew to Liberia several years back, he had a layover in Brussels, and ate a meal at a particular restaurant. We had walked a very short distance from the train station, and we came across a restaurant ... the exact same one that Abba was at. We recognized it from the pictures, and the mirrors all over the walls inside!

Coffee!

Tommy had Cocoa Cola ... and it tasted different than American Coke! He says it was more healthy :)

The menu.

Belgian Waffles!!

An interesting fountain. The building on the right behind it, was a large music store. We went into it, and Tommy tried out a couple guitars :)

A statue of "Albert" ... I'm not sure who he was!

Trying to get internet access.

These were taken on the train, going back to the airport.

The airplane that we took to Tel Aviv - it was fairly small.

Taxiing on the runway at the Brussels airport.

Reminds me a little bit of Tennessee :)

Bird's eye view.

The clouds were BEAUTIFUL!

We couldn't get any good pictures as we came into Israel, since it was around midnight. Tommy did take a couple of videos, but they are taking a long time to upload, so I will have to post them another time.

Ephraim and Rimona came to pick us up at the airport, and brought us back to their home. We went to bed around 3am, and did not wake up until about noon on Tuesday!

The view of the Shomron (Samaria) from their house.

They have lots of turtles in their yard ... I think he said there are 29! They are surprisingly friendly :)

They have all different sizes! Big ones, medium ones, baby ones ... I like the baby ones :)

We are getting ready to go to Jerusalem, where we will catch a bus to Be'er Sheva, and then go to Ezuz. I will try to post more pictures and videos soon. We are SO happy to be in the land again!!
