On Thursday morning, we went with Tim and Arena to Afula.
This is the guesthouse at Kibbutz Merchavya where we stayed for 2 1/2 months as a family. These windows are the bedrooms where we were :)
Tommy and I with Oshri and Dorit.
Oshri and Dorit are Israelis, and have a coffee shop outside of the guesthouse. They were very precious to our family ... very kind and helpful ... and they have two little boys! Both of them were in school when we visited, so we didn't get to see them :(
Arena and I at "Chamim v'Tayim" ... a restaurant that we used to eat at often. The name means "Warm and Tasty" :)
Tommy and Tim - a goofy picture :)
This is Shaul ... he runs the restaurant, and was very kind to us. My little sister Lydia was two when we were here, and he would sit her on the counter and give her "chips" - also known as french fries :)
Gan Hashelosha is a state park near Beit Shean. These pools are spring-fed, and are gorgeous! We went here on Friday with Tim, Arena, and a friend of hers.
Trying to catch fish, while they were biting their fingers and toes! (The fish that is, not the guys.)
Arena took a bunch of these pictures.
Arena was hanging over a rock ledge, trying to get pictures, and Tommy came up from below and startled her!
This was right after Tommy and Tim startled Arena again ... they came up from behind while she was trying to snap some photos ... they thought it was very funny :)
There were waterfalls that you could stand under. I didn't try it, but Tommy and Tim and Arena did.
I hope to post some more photos tomorrow. We have taken a lot over the past couple days, and had a really neat experience that we want to share about, but it is past bedtime here and I am tired! Leila Tov :) (Good-night)
Looks like fun!
