For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

L'ma'an Tzion lo echesheh. U'l'ma'an Yerushalayim lo eshkot. Ad yetzi ka no ga tzidkah. Lo echesheh.

למען ציון לא אחשׁה ולמען ירושׁלם לא אשׁקוט עד יצא כנגה צדקה וישׁועתה כלפיד יבער

Isaiah 62:1

Sukkot 2011 - Part 3

This is the last Sukkot photo post ... I will see about posting videos at some point.
October 19th:

We had a communal breakfast and the neat thing about it was that the men cooked everything! Here is a picture of Tracy T, David B, and Abba - all cooking omelets!

It was pretty cool and rainy that day.

That evening we had a Thanksgiving meal and a talent show ... but I do not have any pictures of the latter.

October 20th:

Emily B, Lydia and Toby D.

Tommy and Peyton B.

Emily B shooting a airsoft gun into the lake.

Samuel shooting the airsoft gun.

And Lydia shot the gun too.

Tommy and Nathan B ... driving his Land Rover into the water. He did not go any deeper than what is shown in the picture, because he did not want to mess it up!

Our family taking a walk on the dam.

Abba and Mama.

Us children.

October 21st:

Good 'ol BoBo.

Daisy.

Tommy and Sam packing up the canoes.

Abba and Sam fishing :)

Abba - casting one more time before we left.

Here are photos of everyone except Sarah... she was sick and did not feel like having her picture taken.

Lydia.

Samuel.

Abigail.

Ruthie.

 Tommy.

Hannah.

Abba and Mama.

On our way home we stopped by an old amusement park.

Lydia.

Lydia again.

Abigail and Daisy :)

Ruthie.

We saw this while stopping at Kroger on the way home. The figure on this side is a mannequin ... the real person is driving in the other part!

Sukkot 2011 -part 2

October 16th:

On Sunday we had a father/son football game!

Before we left our campsite to go over to the ball field, Tommy put his "pads" on (he is kind of a sissy and did not want to get hurt :) ... No ... I am just joking  he took them off before the game started!).

Abba and Mr. B.

Praying before they played.

I love Sam's face ... I know he was wanting to tackle the other boy!

Somebody had set their Virgil's Root Beer bottle on the ground near their chair (after it was empty) and Daisy came and got it ... and enjoyed it too!

October 17th:

Left to right: Abigail, Hannah, Sarah, Lydia, and Ruthie.

Field Day pictures. On Field Day there were 7 different teams playing and 10+ people on a team.

Some of the "camo" team.

Balloon popping relay race.

Teams lined up for the kosher marshmallow toss.

The gray team planning how to win :)

Abba was the camo team leader - in this picture he was passing marshmallows.

Mr. Jason and Tommy.

Green team lining up for tug-of-war.

Shoe mix-up relay race.

Gray team tugging ... or at least getting ready to.

The black team and white team were getting ready to play against each other, with Mr. Scott as the black team's leader and Mr. Jason as the white team's leader. Both had been champions for the past couple years. Mr. Scott says they were praying that nobody would get hurt ... but I am wondering if that is the whole truth!

White team lined up ...

Black team lined up ...

HURRAH... THE WHITE TEAM WON!
Back row ... left to right: Aaron D, Hunter C, Becky B, Elisha B, Blake B, Jason M, and Josh B, (BTW ... not all of the "B's" are related!)
Front row ... : Lydia W, Callie C, and Emily B.

The gray team did not win in tug-of-war ... but they did win three out of five of the other activities, so their picture was taken too :)

Sam Bam The Man!

Mama and Jane D.

Lydia and Zachariah N.

Sarah.

Tommy.

October 18th:

Tommy.

Abigail.

Lydia.

We gathered a small group of people and played soccer.  Here is one team ... left to right: Emily B, Rachel B, Hannah, Tommy, Sam, Jessie P, and Miles W.

... and here is the other. Back row - left to right: Scottie B, Nathan B, Abigail, Sarah, Olivia B, ... (front row) Jacob P and Lydia.

Jessie P.

Our team (the second one pictured) made a illegal move, so the other team got a free kick.  As you can see, everybody is on pins and needles to see if Abigail would catch the ball or not.  Thankfully she did.

Jessie P and Sam.

In this picture you see everybody looking up in the air for the ball ... it is too high to see in the picture.

Abba and old Boaz.

Making egg rolls for supper! Left to right: Abigail, Miss Dina, and Mama.

Abigail and Hannah.
