For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

L'ma'an Tzion lo echesheh. U'l'ma'an Yerushalayim lo eshkot. Ad yetzi ka no ga tzidkah. Lo echesheh.

A Month In Review - October 2015

Shalom Dear Friends,

I hope you all had a blessed month.  We had a very good, and a very busy one!  At the end of September and beginning of October, our family went camping at Fall Creek Falls State Park with other friends for the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles).  We had a very nice time.

When we got home, we unpacked from our camping trip ... and from our move!  Cool autumn weather has set in and we have started having fires (we heat with wood) which makes it so warm and cozy!

Some of us went down to GA one Shabbat to a once-a-month gathering that we have been attending.  Howie & Aline (from Mishkanim) were there, along with the local band and we had a wonderful time of praise & worship.  To see some videos from our time there, please click HERE.  One of our family's favorite songs that Mishkanim does is, "O Jerusalem" ...

This past month, one of our grandmothers had a heart attack and was in the hospital, so my mother drove up to be with her for a week.  Our grandmother is doing better now and Ima came back home this week and we are thankful to have her back with us!

While our Ima was away, our dear friends the Williams & Cauthens came and spent the weekend with us and we had a wonderful time hanging out with them!

But, enough chatting, here is our Sukkot slideshow:

Two Months In Review: August & September 2015

Shalom Friends,

I hope you all are well!  I am sorry I did not post last month ... life was just too busy to sort through pictures and make a post!  Life is still busy, but I decided I would try to bring you up to date regarding what was happening in our lives!

What have we been doing the past two months????

Knocking down walls in our new house :)  There were three small rooms, so we knocked out two big walls to make a large open room which is our kitchen, dining room and living room!

Is this better?!? :)

The guys had to make a beam to go in one place.  Abba wrote on it, "Up To Jerusalem!"

Putting the beam in ... it was heavy!

We did a lot of painting.

The girls room!

Abba painting the ceiling in our wood stove/lounge room.

Priming the sheetrock.  Oh, we also put in those new windows last month.

Painting the "big room".

The walls painted ... now they need some trim :)

By the way, this is what happens when you fall asleep while others are mudding sheetrock :)

We also fixed ... rotten flooring!

The kitchen sink (and laundry) had been draining right under the floor, so we also had to fix the drain!  But, it was a lot easier than what we expected, so that was a blessing!

Done!

There was another rotten spot ... and I just love this pic of the boys sitting their and Sam's smile :)

This was also an "easy" fix!

Clinton and Sharon (and Natan'el) came a couple times to help us.  It was such a blessing and we all enjoyed holding Natan'el when we could take a break from working!

Abba had a birthday in August and on the same day, we took our old mini school bus to the junk yard ;(  It was old, broken and we didn't want to move it again!

Tommy had to tow him.

Homemade Chocolate Pudding anyone?!?

The guys on a job site :)

Oh ... and Happy Hill Pups has had some pretty adorable puppies these past months!

But back to the house ... we started laying hardwood in the big room.

And we finished it!!!

Sorry for the mess!

I love these beautiful flowers.

Abigail.

We had a huge storm one day ... but it was SO beautiful!

And ... the day finally came this last month for us to move!  Our new place was not (and still is not) finished ... but someone had to move into our old place, so we moved out.

Thanks to Amber, Miss Barbara, Clinton and Sharon for helping us in this move!

Hannah bought steaks for everyone as a celebration once we moved in and Tommy grilled them (along with corn on the cob) for us.

And ... we are finally home!  If we look exhausted, there's a good reason for it!

Lydia on Stone.

Gracie loved to run along side while we rode Stone ... but after kicking Abigail's foot, we put her up in the barn!

A couple days after we moved, a guy came to move our dog house from the old place to our new home.

After loading our dog house ... the guy tried to pull out, but because of the soft, wet yard, he got stuck and Tommy had to pull him out!  Tommy enjoyed teasing him a little about his GMC pulling a Ford out and he said I had to post this video:)

It was really funny seeing it go down the road :)

And it was most definitely a wide load ... it took up the WHOLE road :)  We were praying no one came from the other direction :)  By the way, our dog house is 12'x24' for whoever might be wondering!

Unloading it at our home!

Hannah, Abigail and Lydia delivered a couple puppies to Nashville one day.

Last Shabbat, we went to a Sabbath gathering in Georgia.  James and Liz Block were visiting from Israel and we really appreciated them leading us in worship (along with the regular local band who also played).  If you have not heard James' music before, I highly recommend it.  I will post some videos below, but I would also encourage you purchasing his CD's from his site

Our family with James and Liz!

Abba, Hannah & Tommy met Mr. & Mrs. Rambo while in Israel this past Spring and we all enjoyed our time together in GA.

Sarah and Sarah :)

And Lydia and Lydia :)

Now ... here are some videos!  I have several videos from our family, but I am also going to share some videos that Mr. Pete from Natsab took (I am sorry for any duplicates).  The local band (Shivat Tzion) led us first and then James took over after lunch.  I pray they are a blessing to you!

That is all for now.  Chag Sameach to everyone!  I pray you all have a very blessed Sukkot!  Shalom.

A Month In Review: July 2015

Shalom Friends & Family,

I hope you all are doing well and enjoying these hot summer days!  We have had a busy month but it has been good!  One of the biggest things that is going on is ... we are in the process of remodeling a house that we are going to move into!  It is a 115 year old farm house on 105 acres of land!  It is really amazing how the Father brought it all about and we are getting really excited, even if it is a lot of work!  Here are some pictures ...

The new Happy Hills Farm!

The back of the house.

The place has 3 large barns/equipment sheds.

Some of the cattle that are being run on the land right now.

Every boy needs a field to run across with his dogs :)

And there is a lovely little creek.

One day when Abba and Ima were out of town, they had us children go to the house and make a list of what needed to be done before we can move in.  Surprisingly, even though there were 7 of us, we all agreed on just about everything that needed to be done :)  Not a lot of different opinions :)

Putting in new windows is one of the priorities!  We all like light ... especially natural light :)

A work zone.

Both kitchen windows installed!

Cleaning other windows until we can replace them.

Painting.

Thankfully there is very little rotten floor for such an old place.  And a bigger blessing is ... our men are fully able to fix what is wrong!!! Praise YHWH for that!

There were a bunch of old newspapers under one of the floors that we tore up!  They dated back to 1970 ... 45 years old and it was really neat reading them ... the world was SO different back then :)  I'm sure some of you remember those days but it was pretty amazing for us to read blips of them.

Do you like this advertisement for Levi pants for $4.05?!?!?  Or white sheets for $1.78?!?!?!

Sitting by the creek after working at the house one day.

We went to the Manchester firework show for July 4th.  The timing of the fireworks was HORRIBLE ... but there were a lot of pretty ones!

Lydia with a couple of her puppies.

Sam on Stone.

Abigail with Gracie.

The four youngest in the back of Tommy's truck ... we were going to help our neighbors pack up, since they are moving as well.

Our dear friends Clinton and Sharon had their baby and we went to visit them and meet Natan'el!

Samuel made a wooden tool box with some wooden toys for Natan'el!

He is SO adorable!

So precious!

Some dear friends, Scott and Laura, came to visit and we took them over to our new house to see it.

Our visit was so sweet and way too short :(  But we were thankful for it anyways!

Towards the end of the month, Abba took us four youngest on a puppy delivery trip!  We went up to Michigan and then over to New York City and back home!

On our way, we stopped off an exit and visited with Clinton and Sharon and Natan'el, and their Uncle and Aunt for a few minutes!  We were only supposed to be there for "three and a half minutes", but for some reason we were there a little longer ... we just couldn't put this little guy down :)

He's just too cute!

For some reason we didn't really get pictures traveling through the different states, but here are some of NYC.

I tried to get a picture of the Israeli flag, but it blurred :(

NYC is FULL of buildings ... if you didn't know :)

We parked on one street and walked down it for awhile.

We found a health food store that was really neat!  We got some olives from it :)

Driving home through the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.

Well, that is all for now!  I hope you have a great coming month.  Blessings & Shalom!
