For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

L'ma'an Tzion lo echesheh. U'l'ma'an Yerushalayim lo eshkot. Ad yetzi ka no ga tzidkah. Lo echesheh.

למען ציון לא אחשׁה ולמען ירושׁלם לא אשׁקוט עד יצא כנגה צדקה וישׁועתה כלפיד יבער

From Ezuz To Poriya Illit ... by Hannah

Shalom Y'all,

I am sitting at an Aroma's right now ... trying to get a few blog posts done. Aroma's is an internet cafe, similar to a Panera Bread in the States. Very nice :)

This past Wednesday, we left Ezuz and traveled by bus to Poriya Illit ...

The sunrise on the desert.

This was the first sunrise we were able to see, since our room is on the west side of the house, and we usually are not up at 5:15 to catch a 6am bus :)

This was somewhere between Tel Aviv and Hadera. I've seen several Office Depots here - I'm actually sitting across the street from one :)  Wish I could find a Staples!

The highway runs along the coast for awhile.

This is a power plant in Hadera. When we were here as family, we went to the beach quite close to it. It was cold though, so we did not swim.

See the Mediterranean?

Nearly all of the road signs are in Hebrew, English, and Arabic.

This was near the Arab village of Umm al-Fahm.

Tommy took these pictures to show how poverty-stricken the Arabs are.

Pretty nice, huh?

This is a personal residence ... not an office complex.

Almost to Afula. As soon as we left Tel Aviv and started heading north, I felt this excitement come over me ... it felt like we were going home!

Then as we passed Megiddo (Armageddon) and got closer to Afula, Tommy said to me; "It feels like we're going home!" I'm not sure if it is because we lived here for 2 1/2 months as a family, or because this is where we belong!

Afula has grown quite a bit since we were here five years ago.

John Deere :)

This is Har Tavor, also known as Mount Tabor. We pass it on the way from Afula to Poriya Illit.

I will post some more pictures from the past couple of days soon.
