For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

L'ma'an Tzion lo echesheh. U'l'ma'an Yerushalayim lo eshkot. Ad yetzi ka no ga tzidkah. Lo echesheh.

למען ציון לא אחשׁה ולמען ירושׁלם לא אשׁקוט עד יצא כנגה צדקה וישׁועתה כלפיד יבער

A Month In Review: December

Shalom Friends & Family,

I can hardly believe that this is January 1st, 2015!  Last year flew by ... so much happened!  I hope and pray that you all had a wonderful year and that this coming year will be even better.  May it be filled with many wonderful times.

Here are a "few" pictures from this past month!

Samuel got his first deer!  There were two deer together, one was bigger and one was smaller.  He aimed at the bigger one, but they were running and he got the smaller one instead.  We teased him a lot ... but that did not seem to affect him ... just look at the smile on his face!

At the beginning of December, the mother of a dear friend of ours passed away, so Abba and Ima went down to FL to be with our friend.  Since the funeral was right down the road from my grandmother's house, Abba and Ima got to stay with her and then go to the beach several times.

Our dear Ima.

While they were gone, us children went to a craft show.  We had a table selling Lilla Rose products.

Some friends dropped in and the parents got a picture of us with their girls.

When we were finished with the show, we decided to drive to a cowboy boot store in downtown Nashville.  We talked together and decided to walk around the city after visiting the boot store.  We walked over the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge which was really neat.  Even though I have lived right around Nashville for most of my life, I never remembered being in that part of town or walking over that bridge!  When we got on the other side of the bridge, we could see the Titans jumbo screen in their stadium and since there was a game going on, we stopped and watched for awhile.

The boys!

Tommy with Nashville in the background.

We were so glad that Abba and Ima could come back in time for us to share the Chanukah season together.  We had a very pleasant time.  Who enjoys Latkes???  Ima makes the best!!!

Tommy got this picture.  By the way, it was not the eighth night of Chanukah.  Because we do not believe the legend of the oil (since we do not see the record of it in the Maccabees), we sometimes light the full Chanukiah to see the beauty of it.  This night was a special night since we do not normally even light the Chanukiah until bedtime.  It was nice sitting at the table together looking at it while eating Latkes:)

Do you prefer sour cream, applesauce, or jam?:)

Abigail made us Sufganiyot (jelly donuts).  They were DELICIOUS!!!

We had a game of Dreidel that went on ... and on ... and on!!!

Our new Bichon puppy, Ya'lili, loves Chanukah as well.

I was carrying the Chanukiah to our bedroom when all of the sudden Ruthie said, "Sarah, stop.  Wait a second."  I could tell she was taking pictures, and at first I was not really enthusiastic about the idea since I was exhausted and just wanted to crawl in bed.  But, when I saw the pictures she got, I really liked them!  I love the candles and the dark surrounding.  I just love the Chanukah season.  And most of all, I love to remember and read the verses about Yeshua being the light of the world and how He calls us to be a light to those around us.  I also love reading the stories of Chanukah in the Maccabees.  If you have not read the Maccabees, I would highly encourage you to.  The books are filled with so much history, so many inspirational stories and prayers.

On the Shabbat during Chanukah we went down to AL visit some friends.  For some reason we did not take any pictures (I do not even know if we had the camera!), so I grabbed these next few ones from our friend's Flickr account.  Tommy made this rocking chair for our friend's little girl.

And Tommy and a friend got this violin for our friend's little boy.

A bunch of us girls.

Sam Bam The Man.

Lydia, Joy, and me.

We were excited when the Shining Stars Calendars arrived!  If you would like to order one, you can do so by clicking HERE.

Ruthie has been sewing a lot this month.  All of this fleece is for the Car-seat Baby Blankets that she makes.

We started building a new dog house at the beginning of the month.  Below is the trailer with a bunch of materials.

Tommy and Sam making skids.  We wanted to build the building on skids, that way if we ever move, we can take it with us or sell it.

Putting the first wall up.

All four walls are up!

In this picture the roof looks like it dips in, in the center of the building.  This is not the case, it is just how the picture was taken!

Besides working on the dog house, we have been working on firewood.  Someone Tommy knows needed some trees cleared out of his field, so we have been working on that.

Well, those are all the pictures that I have to share from December.  But that reminds me, I have been going back and forth whether to continue the month in review post this coming year or not.  Could you please vote below or comment with your desire?!?  Thank you and Happy 2015!!!

Do You Want The Month In Review Post To Continue During 2015?
