For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

L'ma'an Tzion lo echesheh. U'l'ma'an Yerushalayim lo eshkot. Ad yetzi ka no ga tzidkah. Lo echesheh.

למען ציון לא אחשׁה ולמען ירושׁלם לא אשׁקוט עד יצא כנגה צדקה וישׁועתה כלפיד יבער

Isaiah 62:1

Sukkot 2011 -part 1

Hello - this is Sarah! I hope that everybody is doing good ... we are doing well, but life has been pretty busy lately. Anyway, I've got a free moment and so I thought that I would post the pictures from Sukkot (Feast Of Tabernacles).

For Sukkot we went with our congregation (LAMB Fellowship) to a park called Deer Run. We had a great time! OK, here are the pictures and I have divided them into three posts.

October 12th:

We left home around noon, driving Tommy's truck with the horse trailer and our van with another trailer!

Abigail, Sarah and Lydia

While my father was getting us checked in, we waited in the vehicles. Anyway, us girls (in the van) looked over and there Sam was mimicking Boaz (our 12 year old Lab) panting!

Samuel shooting Nathan B's bow and arrow.

Samuel and Jacob P.

Lovely Mama.

October 13th:

Playing Rook. Left to right: Samuel, Toby D, Ruthie, Lydia, and Hannah.

Back row: Nathan B, Tommy, Sam, Ruthie, and Hannah. Front row: Toby D and Lydia.

Sarah and Abba (Tom).

October 14:

A view from our camp site looking down the hill at all of the other people.

Sarah with Sophie on the leash and Daisy.

Playing volleyball.

Ruthie and Abigail.

It rained on the 13th, so we decorated the Sukkah on the 14th.

Ruthie and Joe D wrapping leaves around the Sukkah.

The M family invited us to their camp site for Erev Shabbat and we had a great time with them. Although this is not the best quality, I love the picture. BTW... the men were enjoying yummy toffee that Mrs. M had made :)

When we got back to our camp site (at about 1:00AM!) we found that Boaz had made himself a nice bed. Yes ... he caved in the one side of our tent!

October 15th:

Here is a group picture that we got, well ... I did not actually get the picture - Lisa R took it. Nearly everybody had matching Sukkot T-shirts so we wore those for the pictures.

Abba ... what else can I say? :) ? :)

Back row L to R: Hannah, Tom, Tommy, and Ruthie. Middle row L to R: Abigail, Annie, Sarah. Front row L to R: Lydia and Samuel.

Hannah, Mama, Carolyn G and Ruthie.

The children did a dance under the Sukkah.

Playing volleyball.

Jaden H walking Sophie :)

On Sabbath afternoon there was a mikvah/baptism, so these last pictures are from that. There were 5 people that got "mikvahed" ... including Samuel.

Abba and Lloyd G trying to part the sea ... or lake!

Lydia and Ebenezer L.

Scott D talking with Samuel ...

Going into the water ...

Praying ...

HalleluYah!

Abba and Samuel.

Tommy blowing the shofar.

Going back to the camp sites.
